Another Pumpkin Carving Post

This is the first time we've carved pumpkins as a family since Deryk and I have been married! We had a great time and look forward to keeping up the tradition now that at least one of our kiddos is old enough to enjoy it.
This was Grace's favorite part, gutting the pumpkins!

This is how Deryk (our industrial engineer) prepares to carve pumpkins!

Grace began helping, but she preferred playing in the pumpkin guts. So while I slave away over her pumpkin, she played in guts.
Even Seth was in on the action.
Grace got to help Daddy with his finishing touches...check out his finished product below.
Deryk's Pumpkin just isn't feeling to well!
Grace's and Seth's pumpkins below, in Grace's we carved stars and in Seth's we carved a little boy and stars,

All lit up! I carved our family in my pumpkin (top right).
One tradition Deryk and I do have for the halloween season is Hot Pumpkin Nog. It is soooo delicious. If your interested, I'd be happy to email the recipe...it is never disappointing!

Happy Halloween Everyone! Have a safe and fun Halloween!

Fall Again and Some Family Fun

Wow! It is already fall! Though it is my favorite season, I have not been that excited about it this year. It feels like we hardly had a summer this year, I didn't want it to end. But unfortunately it must, and I'll get over it by appreciating the beautiful world around us.
We had a sick baby this weekend, so we were stuck inside for most of it, but he's finally doing better so we decided it was time we got out. We went up the Logan canyon and had a nice afternoon in all it's colorful beauty!
The beautiful view!
Gracie eating her favorite part of our tin foil dinner...
The "award-winning" smore. Okay, really, I did earn an award for this smore! We had a smore creating contest for our family reunion and I totally won! Woot Woot! Macaroon cookies, white chocolate, roasted marshmallow, and crushed raspberries make a most divinely delicious smore!
Uh...twinners?
So pretty!

Comfy Gracie

Gracie loves her jammies! It is the first thing she does when we get home after I've been working. She raids her pajama drawer, finds her favorite pair for the day, and even puts them on (mostly) by herself. She's actually getting very good at dressing herself, she's always been so darn independent!
Don't you just love the whole ensemble she's got going on?

3 months and Cute as Ever!

Seth is now a whopping three months old now! Every day just gets better with this little guy! How we love him!

Even the Best Laid Plans...

Yep, she is totally stuck! I kind of feel bad I made her hang there while I found the camera and snapped the shots, but it was too funny to me.
